Here's a simple way to make a sheild to protect your LNBs against rain and snow signal loss.
1) Take a plastic lid from a spray can and draw a curve to make a cover. The open end of the lid fits tightly over the LNB, and the length of the lid is enough to give full coverage.
2) carefully trim away the unwanted parts of the lid. I used a hacksaw to cut half way through, and then an exacto knife to trim the sheild portion.
3) Slip it over yout LNB, and presto, instant shielding from the rain.
